Graydon Walk - August 2005

In mid-August the Challenge Activ team and 8 guests walked from l'Encrenaz, over the Col de Ratty and down to the refuge at Graydon, where we had booked to eat that evening. The walk, though not that long, was excellent and it is even believed that at some point during the afternoon a Marmotte was spotted…although this rumour has yet to be officially confirmed. No CA expedition would be complete without a bottle of champagne being cracked open at the summit and this, of course, was no exception!

The evening in Graydon was incredibly memorable, with huge steaming trays of tartiflette, fast flowing wine, good music from a local band and impressive dance moves (we mean you Steve!!!) Apart from us girlies having to put our avoidance tactics to good use as the local lothario prowled round looking for his next victim, it was a superb night and a good time was had by all.
